Main Point: We put God first.
Summary: God begins his Ten Commandments by saying not to have any other god but him. In Acts, Paul visits Athens and sees the people have so many gods that they can barely keep them straight! Paul uses their religious ways as a chance to tell them about the only true God.
Family Dinner Discussion: Describe a person (real or made up) who puts God first.
How do they spend their time?

Continue the lesson throughout the week: This week, have everyone choose something to take a break from. It should be something you spend a lot of time on, in an effort to refocus on God. Here are some ideas:

  • video games
  • TV shows
  • YouTube
  • social media
  • online games
  • texting
  • your phone/tablet

Whenever you feel like doing the activity you’re taking a break from, let that be a reminder to focus on God.
