THE COMMANDMENTS: STEALING
Main Point: We don’t steal.
Summary: God commands his people not to steal. Judas, one of Jesus’ disciples, is the treasurer for the group. Instead of being responsible with the money, he secretly steals some for himself and then criticizes a woman who gives generously to Jesus, saying she’s being wasteful.
Family Dinner Discussion: Talk about ways you can be more generous.

Continue the lesson throughout the week: Replace greed with generosity in your family this week.

  • Set a goal of how many things you think you can find to donate to charity.
  • Collect the items you can give, then see if you hit your goal.
  • Drop the items off at a homeless shelter, women’s shelter, or other charity.

The Eighth Commandment

You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.

The Ninth Commandment

You shall not covet your neighbor’s house

The Tenth Commandment

You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.
