Jane Elizabeth Prahlow

Victorious with Christ, 85, the oldest daughter of Austin and Opal Kramer, died April 27, 2020, after a two-week struggle with a paralytic stroke. Jane is survived by her husband Donald or 33 years and her loving “children” , James (Linda), Ingrid (Mark deceased) Nebel, Matthew (Jane) and Kirstin (Timothy) Stellfox. Her devoted grandchildren include Andrew, Aaron and Adam (Emily) Prahlow, Jocelyn (Mark) Theiss, Kathryn Nebel, Patricia (Kiefer) Heiman, and Michael and Daniel Stellfox. Jane is also survived by a sister Susan Wyland, two nephews Steve and Mike Wyland and a niece Kathy Denison; and many friends.

Jane was very active at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, participating in and supervising the youth of the congregation for over 55 years. She held offices in the Missouri Walther League and participated in the national organization. Jane served as a Sunday School Teacher at Our Redeemer for over 50 years and sang in the church choir.

Jane was born in St. Louis, graduated from Holy Cross Lutheran School in 1948 and from Lutheran High School Central in 1952. She worked at Ralston-Purina for 40 years as a legal secretary. Jane was an accomplished skier and convinced Don that he could ski too.  She was also an avid bowler, bowling until March 17, 2020 when COVID ended their season. She and Don attended hundreds of symphony concerts, Bach Society concerts, plays and musicals. Jane was a great traveler throughout her life. She and Don visited almost 90 countries on their own and finally with travel companies.
