The people of Trinity have received a reply from the pastor whom we “called” to be our next Senior Pastor. On July 9th Rev. Josh Hatcher of Memphis declined our “sacred call” citing the call of his present ministry there in Memphis. While we wait for our search to locate and secure new pastoral leadership, we rejoice in our present interim pastoral care under Rev. Rick Foss and Rev. Steve Albers. And we welcome the leadership of our new Council President, Bev Strohmeyer. Together, our leaders and members of Trinity and VintageTen proceed as usual with our ministries in Soulard, downtown, in Belize (recently concluded for 2015), and West Virginia (Trinity Youth servant event for 2015).
“A Loving, Christ-Centered Community
Actively Reaching Out to All People”
We’ve been waiting for you! It is not by accident that you are here. God has brought you to us. Above all else we want to express Christ’s love to you with genuine, heartfelt warmth. We’re eager to get to know you.
You’ll find that Historic Trinity is an open, welcoming family, rich in the relationships that matter most. Growing spiritually together, we worship, we do service projects, we learn and we reach out to the world with life-transforming truth. Our doors are open, our hearts are open to you, no matter who you are.
If you’ve been thinking, praying, searching and hoping for a place to belong, then Trinity may be the place for you. You’ll find singles, young and older couples, lots of children and seniors. If you come to us as a visitor, we hope that you’ll leave as a friend who’s been blessed by worshiping with us.
If you live in or close to the Washington Ave. loft district, this Sunday you might want to head for our downtown community at VintageTen.
Serving the people of the greater St. Louis area since 1839, Historic Trinity is a diverse community in mission, an intentionally inclusive congregation, welcoming all to our worship and ministries. We are a congregation of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.
Our mission is to be a loving, Christ-centered community, actively reaching out to all in worship and service. We therefore commit ourselves to grow by reaching out to every person, shining the Gospel’s good news of God’s acceptance through Jesus Christ, and encouraging and supporting one another in our faith journey.
If you are visiting the city, make Trinity a part of your St. Louis experience!
